Whichever badge is on the unit, the failure patterns rarely are exotic: refrigerant loss, a failed compressor or clutch, belt and fan faults, blocked or iced evaporators, controller and sensor errors, standby/electrical supply problems, and — more often than anyone admits — a fuel or battery issue on the fridge engine itself rather than the fridge.

What a mobile refrigeration repair call-out looks like

1. You call 0330 0433 365. 24 hours a day. We take the unit make, the alarm code if you have one, the set point and the current box temperature.
2. We dispatch the nearest refrigeration engineer. Not a general mechanic — someone who works on transport fridges.
3. Diagnosis on-site. Alarm codes read, the fault traced, and a straight answer on whether it's a fix-now or a recover-the-load situation.
4. Repair, or a decision. Most jobs are completed on the spot. Where they can't be, you get told early enough to make the call on the load rather than finding out at the delivery point.

Cold chain, and why the honest answer matters

If a unit can't be brought back within the time the load can survive, the useful thing we can do is say so quickly. Late-and-optimistic costs a customer a pallet of stock; early-and-blunt lets you get a transfer organised or re-route the drop. Our engineers report back through our own job system, so whoever is managing the fleet sees the diagnosis as it happens rather than after the fact.
